MANILA, Philippines and MCLEAN, Va. – 3 November 2015 – Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) announced the appointment of Harald Feurstein as general manager of Conrad Manila, the first Hilton Worldwide property to open in the Southeast Asia city. The 347-room Conrad Manila, located in the heart of the prime SM Bay City Development, is set to open in the first quarter of 2016.

In his new role, Harald oversees the opening of Conrad Manila, and will be responsible for the growth of the hotel as the first Conrad in the country. “It is an honor and a privilege for us to re-introduce Hilton Worldwide through the first Conrad hotel in the Philippines, especially in these exciting times as the country is in the brink of rapid economic growth across all sectors,” said Mr. Feurstein, who reports to Peter Webster, Hilton Worldwide’s regional general manager for Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines. “I am certain that the hotel will be a significant addition to Manila’s dynamic cityscape.”

Mr. Feurstein’s hospitality career has taken him across the world to continents such as Europe, Africa and Asia. His past experiences in Asia have taken him to China, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines, where he was pivotal to the success of Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa. Prior to his move to Manila, Harald’s recent appointments as general manager were in Thailand where he opened Hilton Hotel in Pattaya, and helmed Conrad Bangkok as general manager.
