As lively music permeates every corner of SAGE Bar to set the atmosphere of casual elegance, the bar’s modern interiors offers an intimate touch so friends and business colleagues can chat and unwind after a long busy day.

As a trendsetter in partnering with the best of the best, Makati Shangri-La Manila’s SAGE Bar is hosting regular shows by talented international and local acts.

Headlining the Jazz nights from Mondays to Fridays is international performer Henry Katindig who is known in the Asian jazz circuit as a piano genius famed for playing straight-ahead bop or silky smooth jazz-fusion. The jazz maestro’s refreshing style and rhythmic sophistication clearly point out why he has become one of the few anointed keepers of the jazz torch in the Philippines and Asia.

Joining Henry Katindig and his Trio onstage for each day of the week are stellar and multi-awarded singer-performers. They include jazz singer Jeannie Tiongco known for her stylistic mainstream and fusion jazz renditions, the multi-talented Maffy Soler, 2013 Aliw Awardee Angela Vera, and Philippine Idol 2007 finalist Maya Banawa.

On Saturdays, SAGE Bar patrons can listen to the music of accomplished singer Judith Banal. She shares the stage with Poppin Jazz, who has been active in the local music circuit since the ‘90s and brought with her session musicians such as Emcy Corteza, Gary V’s keyboardist Ding Faustino and drummer Tek Faustino.

The Jazz Themed Nights offers a full jazz musical experience, offering guests a chance to hear the performers do jazzy renditions on a carefully curated list of modern pop songs and lounge classics.

Blues and Latin Themed Nights

Groove to the music of guitarist Rey Infante, who has performed in Japan, Indonesia, China, Germany, Thailand and Dubai and whose love for the strings are inspired by Joe Pass and George Benson.On Latin Nights, dance to the beat of Guarana, the leading proponent of both traditional and authentic Bossa Nova and Samba in the Philippines. Their music has reached Brazil with their feature on TV show, “Fantastico Ao Mundo” on TV Globo Brasil

Guests can soak up the energetic atmosphere of the music-themed nights and compliment the musical experience with a drink from the sophisticated and evolving list of whisky, wine and spirits, including signature cocktails. Discerning patrons can choose from culinary concepts such as the exquisite tapas, premium superior steaks and seasonal gastronomical cuisine.

Guests can enjoy the live themed musical performances that run from 9:15pm to 12:45am daily. Meanwhile, there is also the happy hour at Sage Bar, which features selected beverages and offers beer that starts from P70 from 5pm to 9pm daily.
